Born in Portland and raised on the Washington coast in Aberdeen, Sherrie had designs on a career in veterinary medicine early on. Inspired by dinner time conversations about surgery with her mother, an operating room nurse and her own desire to work with animals, veterinary medicine was the obvious choice. She attended Central Washington University as a chemistry major and completed her DVM degree at Washington State University in 1993. Dr. Crow has been an associate veterinarian at Elliott Bay since 1998. She is amazed and rewarded by the bonds she has established with her clients who are such devoted caregivers to their four legged family members. Sherrie enjoys the diversity of medical challenges in general practice. Offering the latest technological advances enables us to do more diagnostically and explore new treatment options for our beloved pets. She continues to explore integrating Chinese medicine into her practice after becoming certified in veterinary acupuncture in 2011.
When she is not in the hospital, Sherrie enjoys travel, hiking with her husband Mike, (the West Coast Trail on Vancouver Island was a recent favorite adventure) racing in local triathlons, playing in a Marimba band and of course hanging out and cuddling with her two fur kids Capt. Jack Sparrow, and Neville Longbottom. She also supports the Isla Holbox Spay and Neuter project, volunteering annually with their campaign in the northern portion of Quintana Roo, Mexico.
